Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, to Thee I consecrate and offer up my person and my life, my actions, trials, and sufferings, that my entire being may henceforth only be employed in loving, honouring and glorifying Thee. This is my irrevocable will, to belong entirely to Thee, and to do all for Thy love, renouncing with my whole heart all that can displease Thee.

I take Thee, O Sacred Heart, for the sole object of my love, the protection of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my frailty and inconstancy, the reparation for all the defects of my life, and my secure refuge at the hour of my death.

Be Thou, O Most Merciful Heart, my justification before God Thy Father, and screen me from His anger, which I have so justly merited.

I fear all from my own weakness and malice, but placing my entire confidence in Thee, O Heart of Love, I hope all from Thine infinite Goodness

Annihilate in me all that can displease or resist Thee. Imprint Thy pure love so deeply in my heart that I may never forget Thee or be separated from Thee.

I beseech Thee, through Thine infinite Goodness, grant that my name be engraved upon Thy Heart, for in this I place all my happiness and all my glory, to live and to die as one of Thy devoted servants.

O Saint Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.

O Saint Joseph, assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me and for my family, from your Divine Son, all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord: So having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanks and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

O Saint Joseph, I never weary contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss his fine head for me, and ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.

Amen.«Listen, my child, to what I tell you now: do not be troubled or disturbed by anything; do not fear illness or any other distressing occurrence, or pain. Am I not your Mother? Am I not life and health? Have I not placed you on my lap and made you my responsibility? Do you need anything else?»

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary of Guadalupe, that in thy celestial apparitions on the mount of Tepeyac, thou didst promise to show thy compassion and pity towards all who, loving and trusting thee, seek thy help and call upon thee in their necessities and afflictions. Thou didst promise to hearken to our supplications, to dry our tears, and to give us consolation and relief. Never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intercession, either for the common welfare or in personal anxieties, was left unaided.

Act of Consecration

Inspired with this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Mary, ever Virgin Mother of the True God! Though grieving under the weight of our sins, we come to prostrate ourselves in thy august presence, certain that thou wilt deign to fulfill thy merciful promises. We are full of hope that, standing beneath thy shadow and protection, nothing will trouble or afflict us, nor need we fear illness or misfortune or any other sorrow. Placing ourselves beneath thy maternal gaze and having recourse to thee in all our necessities we need do nothing more. O Holy Mother of God, despise not our petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer us.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mystical Rose, help all those who invoke thee in their necessities and since thou art the ever Virgin Mary and Mother of the True God, obtain for us from thy most holy Son the grace of keeping our faith, of sweet hope in the midst of the bitterness of life, of burning charity and the precious gift of final perseverance.

O most Holy Virgin Mary, Mother of God, I, although most unworthy of being thy servant, yet moved by thy wonderful mercy and by the desire to serve thee, consecrate myself to thy Immaculate Heart and choose thee today, in the presence of my Guardian Angel and the whole heavenly court, for my especial Lady, Advocate, and Mother.

I firmly resolve that I will love and serve thee always. Assist me in all my thoughts, words and actions at every moment of my life, that every step and breath may be directed to the greater glory of God; and through thy most powerful intercession, obtain for me that I may never more offend my beloved Jesus, that I may glorify Him in this life, and that I may also love thee, and enjoy thee, in the company of the Blessed Trinity- Divine Providence – through eternity in holy Paradise.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Heart of my Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe, I unite to thy purity, thy sanctity, thy zeal and thy love, all my thoughts, feelings, emotions, words, acts and sufferings this day, that there may be nothing in me that does not become, though thee, a pleasure to Jesus, a gain to souls, and an act of reparation for the offenses against thy Heart.

Our Lady of Good Counsel

We turn to you, our Mother of Good Counsel, as we seek to imitate your faith-filled life. May we be led by the same Wisdom which God sent forth from Heaven to guide you along unfamiliar paths and through challenging decisions. Keep us united in mind and heart as we go forward in joyful hope toward the grace-filled freedom that Saint Augustine recommends.
